When Cancellation May Be Relevant
Cancellation can be relevant when you no longer need the SRD grant or your circumstances have changed. A monthly decline is not the same thing as voluntarily cancelling an active application.
Use the Current Account Process
Cancellation controls can change over time. Use the account options available for your own SRD record and confirm the final status after the request is completed.
Keep Your Own Confirmation
Save any reference or confirmation screen. This independent website cannot cancel a government grant and will never display a fake “cancelled successfully” message.
Need It Again Later?
If circumstances later worsen, the correct next step can depend on whether the record is cancelled, lapsed or otherwise inactive. Read the reinstatement and reapplication guides before starting a duplicate application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this website cancel my grant?
No. It provides guidance only and does not change SASSA records.
Is a declined month the same as cancelling my grant?
No. A monthly SRD decision and a voluntary cancellation are different things.
Can a cancelled SRD record be restored?
Depending on the current process and record state, reinstatement or reapplication may be available.
