2026/2027 SASSA Payment Dates

The confirmed 2026/2027 schedule staggers the main permanent social grants over three payment days. Older Persons grants are normally first, followed by Disability grants and then Children’s grants.

SRD R370: the SRD grant is different. It does not use the same fixed Older Persons/Disability/Children’s schedule. If your SRD period is approved, check the pay-day information returned with your individual status.

What if the Date Falls on a Weekend or Holiday?

The payment schedule is designed around weekends, public holidays and national-payment-system considerations. Beneficiaries should not assume that every category will always be paid on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th because some months move to later working days.

Grant Under Review

SASSA has also used a fourth payment day for certain beneficiaries identified for review. If your grant is under review, follow the review instructions you receive and keep your personal and financial information up to date.

Can You Collect Later?

Grant money does not have to be withdrawn on the first payment day. If funds have been deposited to an account, beneficiaries can generally access them after the payment date instead of joining the busiest queues immediately.
