2026/27 Payment Schedule
SASSA published the permanent-grant schedule from April 2026 through March 2027. Older Persons are generally paid first, then Disability, then Children’s grants, with exceptions around weekends and holidays.
Grant Increases
April 2026 increases took Older Persons, Disability and Care Dependency to R2,400, War Veterans to R2,420, Child Support and Grant-in-Aid to R580, and Foster Child to R1,290.
Foster Child October Adjustment
The 2026 Budget Speech schedules the Foster Child Grant at R1,300 from October 2026.
SRD Extension
The SRD grant remains R370 and the 2026 Budget funds the current form through 31 March 2027.
